IF one happened to live in NYC only a few years back (don't know about now, immediately) AND "they," someone, authorities, decided to TEST EVERYONE in NYC for TB, it WAS well known in medical, public health, circles, at least, almost everyone in NYC WOULD test POSITIVE for TB, which meant NOTHING whatsoever.
Everyone did NOT experience TB even IF positive.
This is WELL KNOWN MEDICAL FACT.
And, of course, testing accuracy itself being a debatable subject matter.
Medicine is NOT a HARD science MOST of the time.
Also, exposure and immunity builds up.
As for those few, remaining, small-er, independent, especially retail businesses, outlets, hanging on by a thread DESPITE OUTRAGEOUS, ASTRONOMICAL, RENT INCREASES due to INFLATED REAL ESTATE PRICE GOUGING, they now will completely disappear, thus, facilitating AMAZON in one fell swoop.

Poverty, unemployment, underemployment, war, refugees, death, destruction, CONSUMPTIVE CONSUMERISM, hunger, malnutrition, toxic chemicals, pollution, agriculture, industry, labor, housing, land usage, homelessness, transportation, communication, exploitation of ALL kinds, natural resources, energy, education, medical SYSTEMS, availability, ALL PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUES contributing to DISEASE and HOW SOCIALLY it is handled.
Disease, like death, being impossible to eradicate, but, can be ameliorated, handled humanely, controlled, with education and proper support systems NOT predicated on PROFIT.
Currently, our medical INDUSTRY possesses TONS of computerized systems, devices, gadgets, hardware, software, lots of throwaway plastics, DRUGS, pills, but, apparently, NOT simple human labor backup systems, proper education, AND, things like masks, gloves, ventilators, to name but a few.
Health care, public health, remains essentially highly LABOR intensive and that's NOT highly profitable.
Compassion is NOT profitable.
It can NOT be sold.

I am taking liberty for a personal postscript, comment, about something which simply popped into my mind as I was referencing movies above.

I do NOT know IF full movie is available on line, but, below is a trailer for it.
It is a DEEPLY DISTURBING, DARK, BIZARRE, "SURREAL," film.
I need to WARN everyone.
There is MUCH controversy about WHAT this film actually says, represents.
However, it generally is agreed it is UNIQUE, in a category entirely of its own.
NO other film that I know compares with IMAGERY it uses.
I say this ONLY because to ME, it seems to be a truly horrifying depiction of social disconnectedness, ALIENATION, represented in our existing pathological ECONOMIC SYSTEM, social structure.
Perhaps one might call it subliminal imagery.
Much discussion, controversy, interpretations, conflicting, contradictory reviews, disagreements, about this film exist.
Search for yourselves.
But, it POPPED into my mind just now because of recent events and its discordant symbolism, imagery.
My memory jarred and it SEEMED to me to be apropos of the moment.
