FROM EGYPT WITH LOVE...

Once again, I do NOT know what the Arabic script reads, BUT, I sure as hell understand the caricatures depicted below...

Then, from another article, a SALIENT excerpt FIRST REGARDING A STATE OWNED EGYPT TEXTILE COMPANY.
MY EMPHASIS IN BOLD AND RED FACE TYPE:

...“It's the same regime. The Muslim Brotherhood (from which Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi hails) are the same as the National Democratic Party of Mubarak. Only they use the cloak of religion,” Asaad said, saying that as long as social equality isn’t achieved, change has not been realised.

“The plan to destroy the company is the same,” El-Fayoumi told Ahram Online. “Before the revolution the company was working with half of its capacity. Now its working with 30 percent of its capacity. They want to make losses to be able to privatise and sell the company.

“The National Democratic Party and the Brotherhood are two faces of the same coin; they are following the same policies,” El-Fayoumi said, stating that the Brotherhood was never in favour of strikes and didn’t have any role in the 2008 strike, which he calls a revolution..."

I may be FORCED to learn Arabic.
I have NO problem with any idea of language acquisition, EXCEPT, NO longer a child, adolescent, juvenile, 10 or 20 years old, NO simple, easy task to accomplish.
It is NOT like selecting a book and teaching oneself French, German, Italian, etc.
For example, even Greek letters, alphabet, script, a WEE bit easier then Arabic to learn, since GRECO-ROMAN linguistic family tree, tradition, ROOTS, are somewhat, albeit it, remote, still, vaguely, more recognizable, whereas Arabic script totally indecipherable to me.
FOR SURE, many heroic Egyptians demonstrating probably speak and understand multiple languages, English as well as Arabic, and, thus, PUT ME TO SHAME as I limp linguistically along one footed, English ONLY!!

And, then, see an earlier entry today, just below...
