WALKING DEAD

Below is a war survivor, but, not really.
He and millions like him are the walking, traumatized dead and/or the deceased and and/or disappeared victims of the continuing architects of WWII's NAZI, FASCIST onslaught, modern day barbarism, death and destruction unleashed on Europe, Asia and the USSR and those who dared defy them in most places around the globe after WWII, except those falling directly under a protective, military aegis, rubric, umbrella of the Soviet Union.

When Cuba's Castro brought in Soviet missiles to DEFEND their revolution, a nuclear holocaust nearly ensued.
VERY, VERY CLOSE. A HAIRS BREATH, A SLIVER AWAY.
I personally believe the PRIMARY reason, others existed, Kennedy was assassinated, the ultimate coup de grace, so to speak, was his acceptance of USSR detente after the Cuban Soviet Missile Crisis.
He became somewhat chastened.

Then, when Allende's Chilean revolution ensued, they and he did not have the protective umbrella of the Soviet Union.
And, we know what happened to Allende and Chile. Likewise, what occurred in most South and Central America countries, Cuba being the one and only exception, early on.

Of course, in Asia, at that time, post WWII, Red China came into existence as well, affecting power relationships, there.
And, North Korea fought an absolutely valiant, stoic, heroic war against the US, WITH Red China's assistance.
Vietnam was another post colonial matter, inherited from the French.
Still, in places like Indochina and the Philippines and elsewhere where independence, revolutionary movements and Resistance and Communist fighters existed after WWII, thousands, millions were executed and bodies could be seen floating down rivers.
Recall Indonesia's Suharto massacres.
They were MASSACRES.
That is the appropriate characterization.
And, India's intentional subdivision upon independence, where further massacres ensued.

And, now, the SAME PRIVATE NAMES, INDIVIDUALS, INTERESTS, CORPORATIONS WHO SPONSORED, BOUGHT, FINANCED, PROFITED FROM NAZI AND FASCIST BARBARISM IN WWII ARE PROFITING ONCE AGAIN, EXPORTING RECOGNIZABLE, SIMILAR, TRANSPOSED, TECHNIQUES, BUT, THIS TIME AROUND, WITH OBSCENE, SICKENING, REPULSIVE LABOR SUPPORT AND PENSION FUND INVESTMENT, and, of course, possible now ONLY after the demise of what was once the USSR.

...As we all sink deeper and deeper, inexorably intertwined, enmeshed, both literally and figuratively, in the tortured logic and exigencies of an economic system dedicated to generate ever and ever greater personal profit, dividends and greed at ANY AND ALL COSTS WHATSOEVER.
The ONLY variable that counts is the BOTTOM LINE.
All else is collatoral damage.
Extricating from this NAZI abyss, however, requires SELF-CONSCIOUS awareness of the OBJECTIVE, underlying, fundamental power relations, contradictions, expressed above and DIRECTED, PRINCIPLED comitment to alter, change the course, upside down and inside out.
Nothing else will do.
Otherwise, we are ALL hurtling headlong into an ugly extinction.
