I appreciate bringing that fact to public, in particular, MY attention, since I was unaware of its name, Operation Mercury.
WWII being an extremely DENSE subject matter, it impacts, effects, extends to everyone and everything, precursor to our present day existence.
Terrible as are contemporary events, they pale in comparison to the GLOBAL width, depth, breathe, scope of 20th century WWI-WWII industrial death, destruction, devastation, dislocation, displacement, barbaric, systemic torture and killing machines, including two atom bombs.
POST WWII atrocities, their CAUSE, REASONS, represent templates, patterns, foreshadowed, set, by preceding events.
NOT UNDERSTANDING WWII MEANS NOT UNDERSTANDING THE PRESENT.
Past is prologue.
Historical tentacles emanate backwards and forwards, coalescing, converging both in pre and post WWII.
ALL roads leads back BOTH to ancient Rome AND to modern day WWII.
But, unless one is a scholar and studied deeply every historical aspect of WWII, areas always exist, abound, NOT as well known, perhaps, but, all important, part of, a bigger, biggest, picture, helping to fill missing gaps, holes, in a factual, not fictional, narrative puzzle.
And, of course, new research uncovers, revises, highlights and occasionally overturns generally accepted interpretations.
Unfortunately, it seems, most everyone HERE and many elsewhere WILLINGLY and/or unwillingly suffer historical amnesia and PAY DEAR CONSEQUENCES FOR THEIR IGNORANCE.
Many seem to PRIDE themselves in IGNORANCE, wrapping it around them like a protective cloak, waving it like a flag.

Greek/German/EU events occur above against a backdrop of reported hardly contained business euphoria, enthusiasm, concerning MIDEAST, EGYPT, AFRICA, INVESTMENTS from OUR/THEIR NAZI GLOBAL COSA NOSTRA "FAMILY," CARTEL, CABAL, UBER ALLES.
On the same website, coincidentally, Saudis (Rockefeller EXXON/CITIGROUP/SAUDI ARAMCO) reported willing to contribute ONE TRILLION more DOLLARS to IMF, almost exact same amount United Suckers and Assholes NATIONAL DEBT CEILING INCREASE THE OTHER DAY.
